Bennett was not a good fit for me on heavy haul. They have flat and step stuff
I tried for 2 years... they do offer same day pay on most of the lds. If they agent closes the billing out
Would I recommend them, no but this is from my personal experience plus 5 other trks I personally know and have left also

If the truck runs and will pass a DOT annual its new enough for CRST Malone.

Trailer rental works like this... You pay $185 a week. It breaks they pay to fix it. It needs tires/brakes/etc, they pay for it. I had an ABS repeater light that stopped working, wiring issue. Called Maint and told them I was at the Iowa 80. They called the shop with an RO. Every trailer issue I've had has been that easy.

Absolutely self dispatch here. I've jumped on a Landstar load in Ohio where we had over 100 of our own loads available within 50 miles of my home. They didn't like it but they approved it. You wanna bounce out empty, its up to you. Most of our freight comes through "agents", basically small fleet companies who operate under Malone's authority. You can have an Agent that wouldn't give you a $0.10/per load and others who will dial you first if they see you're gonna be in an area they have a customer. One of our midwest agents will likely never put another load on my deck, and at the rates she offers I wouldn't let her. On the flip side another agent is making a hard push to get me to almost dedicate to his freight.

That sounds like what I was looking for on the trailer rental. Now do you get to choose off a load board like landstar or do the agent's call you and say " this is what we got, take it or leave it"? And how bad are deductions each week? There website was none to helpful on that.

Deductions are performance bond which caps at 2k$, bobtail ins, physical damage (4.4%) of stated value of truck, trailer rental and plates. That's the bare minimum unless you insurance through an outside agency which I found to be more expensive.

    SSG86 Thanks this.

You are NEVER forced to do anything except keep your paperwork correct and get your equipment inspected. If I were told "take it or leave it" by any agent or office I would leave it and that agent/office would make my blacklist. I have an agent blacklisted over her attitude and general crap rates.

Malone has an its own load board. You also have the option to use approved brokers. Landstar, Mercer, Etc. On the loadboard site is a PDF file of all approved brokers, and a "no-load" listing. Also a list of all agents and offices nationwide and a general idea where each agent normally has freight. But that doesn't mean much sometimes...

I do most of my loads through with just a few agents. One of them has loaded me in Cali, VA, AZ, Oregon, SD, IA... get the picture? ;) You take care of the right agents and you'll have them looking to keep you loaded and happy.
