That's a shame. I would report any company that makes you drive illegally to the FMCSA here.
You are very strong for remaining an honest driver. Like others have said, there are plenty of company out there who have a strong interest in keeping you legal and safe out there.
Honest drivers do win. You just have to find the right company to win with.rank Thanks this. -
If you drive a 70-75 mph truck, that's entirely possible. 62-65 mph?

"Allowing???" wtf is this tripe?
Ive been splitting on paper when necessary for years. Some of you old ones might recall the old 5 and 4 or 5 and 5 continuous... -
Read the thread. The study is to allow a more flexible split to see if it works better. Say, 5/5 instead of 8/2.

I read it. I also lived it. If I wanted to grab 5 hours in the berth back in the late 80's I took it. Logged it and went on with the remaining hours for the day.
-
I think the idea is to pave the way for allowances for that sort of thing without taking a hit on your hours.

Hmm. That would be nice.
I guess I will just have to watch and see how this plays out.
