    It's a freightliner cascadia 2013 with a dd15 and a one box def.

Code comes and goes, I went under the truck and checked the meter box where the dozer valve is located. The idiots that put that together left the wires touching the iron box and over time the wire grounded to the box. So I know what wire is giving me the code and how to fix it, but the wire and box are almost inaccesible, it's between the one box and the fuel tank, and my cascadia got the skirts on the side. Only way to fix it permanent is to un assemble the skirt, open the box fix the wire doing ground and fix the touching issue between wires and box. Also I'll need to test the omhs on the doze valve to see if it's still good or needs replacement since the short could have damage it. Now to really be able to work comfortably I need to be home, but I'm 600 miles away, Detroit fix PDF says there's a 10% derail chance with this, what you guys suggest? Run try to fix it before running or anything in between!

If you do run it 600 miles. Don't shut off the truck. It will derate you down 40% , then the last derate is 5 mph. But it won't do that until you shut off the truck, then next time you start your're hooped.
I ran mine for about 9 hours plus 3 hours sitting in a line at the 40% derate. Then I went to my local Freightliner dealer and parked for the night, the next morning it only did 5 mph in the parking lot, but I was off the road by then.

Got the code cleared, but as the wire is halfway cut it might come back, if it grounds. I put dome wire tape around but that might/night not help as it's not really a precise fix. Only way is the hard way when I get home. But at least I know by plying with the wire the code goes off.

Safely made it home. With some time I did un assemble the plastic and bad news no lose cable or pinched etc. The meter unit is bad, it cost around 450 + tax. And a pain to get in and out. Oh well ...
