Speed limit for a road train of any configuration is 90 kmh. B doubles are 100 kmh
-
Actually that's all changed. I don't know how long you've been out of Australia for, but it's now 100 km/h for roadtrains in the Northern Territory, Western Australia, and South Australia north and west of Pt Augusta. That's for all roadtrains except quads. Everywhere else roadtrains are 90. Singles and B Doubles are 100. I only sit on around 90 km/h in mine if I'm fully loaded because I reckon that's quick enough and anyway with 4.56 diffs and RTLO 20918 it's a good speed @ around 1600 RPM.

I've mainly done b doubles or quads when I did do tripples we were still at 90 but that was NSW and QLD. In WA all I did was quads. But dealing with the mining companies you also have their restrictions. I know when I was with Jamison. The company we were hauling for we had to keep a 900m spacing and was not allowed to over take anybody.

In your quote though you said you left Sale in Victoria, Road trains under (85t) can only be legally run in NW Vic from Swan Hill to Mildura, i live in the Mackay region where they usually run two 45" double road trains but must stop and disassemble the Eastern side of Nebo. From Port Augusta to Port Headland yeah you can pretty much run what ever you want.Last edited: Jun 8, 2017

I hope that very excitable oddball woman who didn't stop at the railroad crossing has calmed down a bit. I wonder if she's still employed.
The woman who was a model disappeared from the show pretty quickly, last we saw was their side trip to Ayers Rock. -
The roadtrain route is Moama-Deniliquin-Hay-Buronga-Broken Hill-Peterborough. Then if you are NHVAS accredited it's Jamestown-Gladstone and onto Highway 1 and Pt Augusta. If you're not NHVAS accredited, you've got to split them up at Wilmington and go down Horrocks Pass. It sounds like you are doubting me. Google will put you right.haycarter Thanks this.
