Just had the same issue, put on a new water pump ect ect. then checked my charge air cooler found a big hole. This may be the same issue you are having. You can make a air to air tester fairly cheap. 2, 4" pvc caps thick wall, and a tire valve stem. pressure system up to 25psi and see if or how long it will hold it. That is how I found the leak in mine. Good Luck hope it helps!

You should test the preasure at the cylinder head, I have an adapter that goes into the heater outlet hose, and you should get 25 plus pounds preasure above the rad cap preasure, at 1800 RPM, Test the rad cap. It is posible the cover plate on the Water pump is corroded, reducing the pump preasure, If you use DCA4.
If the problem only happens when under load, then go to Diesel Garage, handy links and look up the bottle test and do it. If it passes the Bottle test, and it has circulation preasure above 25 lbs, then the radiator may need to be removed and cleaned at a rad shop internally and externally.
    Just a thought!

You may want to take air line off at fan and see if you are getting 120 psi there depends on what kinda line it is a rubber one can go bad and fall apart inside and block the line and restrict air pressure if it is it may have started to ruin the lining in the fan hub if it doesnt get 120 psi fan will slip , just a thought.

When I got mine up to 230 when my fan clutch went out running Teton Pass I got a bit concerned and didn't really want it to get much hotter.

(Those of you that know that mountain know what I'm talking about)

Hey superhauler. At the risk of sounding ignorant, can you please tell me why the intake air temp increases with boost leaks? Thanks.
