Same here at US Xpress. Just finished training and the bump in pay really helps. As veterans we are treated a lot better than the poor contracted CDL school students. There were three apprentice veterans that came through with me and we all agreed there is no way we would have started in the industry without the Post 9/11 apprenticeship.Gunner75 Thanks this.

FFE treated my spouse as a VET Marine sgt very well with her schooling. I was the one who broke her to trucking and trained her over a structured 12 week program by the book. But eh... due to her hard charging personality type we were essentially a full team in 2 weeks flat with winter coming in. What a year that was I got close to 38K some months in mileage to that truck. There were times Ive had her stop like outside of freaking Kit Carson or something on that old raton road so I can quietly puke my cookies early in the morning. If you aint puking you aint trucking LOL.rgc2005 Thanks this.
