Hello! I drove 1 year as company driver. Afterwards, I made my own business llc and I started working as a contractor. I worked for 3 different companies during the one year as a contractor. I want to go back company to learn a new skill hauling crude oil. My question is when I fill out a job application do i put the company i worked with the first year and then my LLC for the 2nd year? Or do I have to list the 3 companies and risk the chance of them telling me I had to many jobs or something silly?
Do I put my company llc name for employer?

I'd out your employer first, then your llc.

Excellent question. Thank you for the reply, too, LoudOne

Reason for the llc and not the companies is an owner operator you chase the work.
When your slow you move on.
As an employee it's up to them to keep you busy. So the stable employment history with being an employee is important.
As an owner operator you need to do what you need to do to stay in business. -
i would name your llc as the employer
-
That's what I was thinking

It depends if you were an employee or an owner doing the work.

If you are talking about trucking applications, they're looking for the motor carrier, not who paid you. I know it looks better that you only worked for one company than 3, but they're the ones with your driving file, not you.
Highway_Executive and TallJoe Thank this. -
Were you just a 1099 driver? Or did you have your own truck? If you were just a driver, I'd put down the company your worked for, not your LLC.
