Sirius XM radio packaged as CB form?

i think you mean the mulitplexer box. it may be a half ### but it works perfectly. i have only lost sat radio signal once or twice since i used the factory satellite radio plug, my normal radio stations are clear as a bell and as for the cb, i use a vhf radio thats has its own antenna as not many people i know are using cb radios anymore. thou i did change the factory antenna to better quality ones.

Question about the multiplexer, back when I ran car haulers with over cab car racks XM reception was always a big problem. I got my first XM back in late 2003, still have it today and the same deck still works by the way. I had wanted to put dual mirror antennas on for the XM because I would have great signal if I was heading south or east but lousy signal going north or west (or vice versa, been a long time) once I had a car over my cab, too much signal interference.

I no longer drive now I'm selling car haulers and tow trucks but this is still a complaint of my customers, so what do y'all think about obtaining these multiplexers that Volvo is using and making an upgrade kit available to my car haul customers that want good XM reception without hassle? Is it feasible or am I dreaming again?

I have known about the multiplex antenna system from most OEMs for AM/FM/CB/TV, didn't know any were also including the XM signal. I understand the signal will be degraded some due to the weakness of using one radial for several vastly different freq ranges, but it still has to be better than no signal at all due to physical obstruction from the over-cab carrier.

 

yes you can use any good muliplexer and i think most newer trucks are running the same multiplexers setup may be alot of work to get to the oem antenna cables and may be easier to run dual mirror mounted trax mushroom sat radio antenna. this is what i was going to do before i found out i had oem sat antennas.
