No Breakdowns ,no time lost on Backhauls or
sitting in GP waiting on your load I assume (?)

Pretty lucky again on the break down issue. Had a couple of events with my windshield wiper assembly go out in the NW and my alternator failing up there as well. Managed to track down places that had the parts that also fit with me shutting down at the end of the day and being on the road again no later than noon the following day.
Virtually never wait on a BH although did get stuck in WA one day during the memorial day week waiting on a load.
I try to plan my trips so I don't have to deal with GP much and then roll through on the weekends if possible. If memory serves I had three instances where I had a several hour delay waiting to get loaded there.

    28 Thanks this.

I chase the load board and stay ahead of it , that is to say I'm never not on it.
Had a few mega breakdowns this year , the loaner I'm in right now has spooked
me a few times . It looses power / sputters then comes back to life but its still
getting me where I need to be . Its certainly a luck system .

Last week I got one of those transfers to Carolina poly and a run up to uxbridge Massachusetts out of Carolina poly. Several drivers did this run the same as me and I heard almost all complain about it. Guess I was somewhat lucky.
Was a nightmare getting out of GP as it was storming and my load was to heavy so I had to wait 5 hours or so on shipping to remove a pallet.

After getting to Carolina poly I learn that nobody works weekends so I had to wait until the next day to get my new load which now had 3 days to run 900+ miles.

So basically guys were saying they took 2 resets and it was horrible, of course nobody like sitting.
Today when I turned in my paperwork it was 4100 miles for 8 and half days on the trip and I got 1 day of layover pay. Outbound 1550+ mile load to new jersey was loaded early as it wasn't supposed to be ready until tomorrow so I went ahead and took off with it. Running recap and will have just enough hours to get there (I hope).

Are they hiring drivers from the Carolinas now to run out of Carolina Poly? I'm not far from there and thinking about coming over. Thank You

I haven't heard anything yet. I know the shipping guy there said they are running ahead of schedule as far as making product. They still have a ton of equipment to set up though. I figure it will be closer to the end of the year before they have everything all ready.

    Hey,
Do you guys stop at the new Chester, SC plant yet? If so, what are the routes from there and when is it going to be fully running with regular pick ups?

Thanks!! What are they shipping from the Chester plant? Is it trashbags going to the big box distributors like BJs, Sam's and Costco?
