Could be worse, though. Apparently one guy was locked to the dock when the power went out, and can't get unlocked until tomorrow.

 

You'd think they'd have an emergency manual release, in case there was a fire or power outage.

 

In case anyone was wondering how far a space hopper will fly when hit by a freightliner at speed, the answer is pretty #### far.

 

I'd be dropping that trl like a hot potato and headed to the nearest truck stop.

That's when I would be thankful for off duty driving. Unhook the trailer and hit the town.

 

I was on 15 in PA, a pickup got on the highway ahead of me and when it got up to speed the spacehopper flew out of the bed, and bounced a few times before I nailed it.

I won't lie, I kinda enjoyed seeing that thing sail into the trees. May have even made it into the river that runs alongside the road.

 

That happened to me twice... Once at the Coke DC in Bismark, North Dakota and, then, at Asahi Kasei Plastics in Fowlerville, Michigan. In both cases, the "Mechanic" used some kind of huge wrench that looked like an allen wrench to free the trailer.

 

Danger Mouse gonna be maaaaaaad.
