Yep exactly.. if I ever starting making paychexks so small I can barely make it I will go to the house permanently. After you pull these heavy surging trailers all day long anybody will understand quick why it pays more than other trucking. Make a mistake and you will be on your side quickChinatown Thanks this.

aye follow me brother, I will let you know the road from here... thank you man big time

how about that life? -
Another reason tanker drivers make more is they don't sit much between loads. I had some excellent regular runs; Nashville,TN to Los Angeles then 45 minutes to unload, then empty back to Nashville and it pays the same both ways. Had lots of those runs. Pulling any other type trailer, you'll never deadhead coast to coast, but it's common with tankers because the customers don't want any other chemical in the trailers they get product in.

The van lease drivers at Schneider are doing pretty dang good I hear. The bulk lease drivers are making the least amount of money that they have made in years. This from what I've been told talking to them while at operation centers. I was told 5 of them had to turn their trucks in last month. They completely went into the hole so deep that they had no other option. The guy I talked to few days ago in savanah said he lost his house and maxed his credit cards out all in the last 8 or so months. He is turning his truck in within the next month. He was a company driver for a year and said he cleared way more money. In owner thing you can make a lot but it's all about what you actually clear to bring home after paying for expenses.

Yep, I agree that's the trend I see on the youtube video truckers.. they try to do the lease way, and can't make it..

I'm no expert or anything but in my opinion having a truck note due once a week sounds completely wack to me. Best to save up and put a lot down and buy from a dealership and have 1 payment due once a month like everything u buy usually is in life. One a week truck payments makes me think about someone renting a flat screen tv from some rent to own store and paying payments every week for the rest of their life haha.. just makes no since
