Changed head gasket, head is good, changed water pump, changed nearly rad hose and added a check valve. Still putting in up to 2 gallons of red coolant a day. No def, exhaust isn't clear. Oil pan isnt getting anything unusual.
My oil temp fluctuates 210-240 degreesthroughout the day loaded or not. Water temp is a consistent 190-210, loaded or not. External temperature gauge reads 20 degrees higher than actual, but I don't think that had to do with the antifreeze.
Thoughts?

what motor do you have egr cooler maybe
-
Can u find anything like dye or food coloring room help trace leak
-
put a gallon bottle on the surge tank breather and make sure you are not pissing it down the street under a heavy load although this might leave you with even more questions than you have now.
Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
Agreed either EGR cooler or combustion/pressure in surge tank. Not hard to identify either just sucks figuring out what is causing it

Did you ever find out why? My 2012 cascadia is doing the same thing. The mechanic shop said they did a pressure test and they found no leaks. I had a bad egr and they changed that out but its still loosing coolant.
-
i changed the lower egr cooler out to the tune of 14 hun and four months later i'm losing coolant somairs..
not a drop on the ground...not sure if the egr cooler is the culprit or not.. -
well the ambient air temp sensor will cure the external air temp reading but i'm having the same problem losing coolant...its a delema I need more input before disassemble

Hate to scare ya but my dd15 was doing that for about a month, no visible leaks but losing coolant about a gallon every few days. It finally shut down on me as the coolant was getting into the engine ans my cylinders were scored. The oil pressure was getting lower and lower as the coolant mixed more and more with the oil. Had to get a rebuild on it. Better get it checked before you are going down a grade and it shuts off. Drive safe driver.

i have no visible coolant in the oil i had the pressure test with no results so i have to assume its going out thru the exhaust. and i'm definitely going to get to the bottom of this..... oil pressure is good . so i'm leaning more towards EGR cooler. but i'll be getting it looked at this week...thanks
