OK, so what is the difference between this and any other form of theft? And that is exactly what this is - theft.

Well I would have to agree but jail? a bit much.. They could of simply ticket the person... They don't even take you to jail for stealing gas at the pump anymore.. they just write a ticket and if you pay for the gas by the time you goto court (1st offense) they drop the ticket...

sheesh ; this story is/was ridiculous! There are much worse things going on around the petro in atlanta than a dudes chick getting a couple of bites off his plate. How about the trucks continously getting broken into everyday? The drivers getting robbed there 3 or 4 times a week. What about all the stolen property and jewelry being or trying to be sold there every single day and night? Sheesh, whats next? The toilet police busting you because u used 1 sheet to much of the fanny ribbon in the bathroom stall? Or worse yet u floating a nasty air biscuit as u step out of the doors heading back to ur truck. Whats next? You being charged for the pleasure of using the porcelin throne? Do not laugh,it could happen.

For all we know, she could have eaten a whole plateful of food and the manager witnessed it. Jail was harsh, perhaps a fine would have been more appropriate.

I'm sorry, but I fail to see what one has to do with the other. That is like saying you should not prosecute someone for rape because someone else committed a murder. It just doesn't make sense, at least to me.

    Oh never mind. . .

That could be dealt with as terrorism!:fart: :puke:
I take it you have never seen a place that has "pay toilets?" I think those should be outlawed!

Now perhaps taking this guy to jail was a bit of overkill. OTOH, we were not there, so don't know what all happened. If you read the article it says he copped a plea to disorderly conduct. So perhaps this was a second charge. Is it possible that he became an "Adam Henry" when confronted?

    Arrested for Sharing Meal?

    By Jon Lewis # October 30, 2008 7:36 AM Permalink | Comments (11) | TrackBacks (0)

(WSB Radio) A visitor to metro Atlanta is out of jail after spending two days in lock up for giving his girlfriend a bite from his plate.
40 year old Dan Lipscomb, of Texas City, Texas, was at the Iron Skillet restaurant in northwest Atlanta with his girlfriend. He ordered a meal, then allowed her to sample part of his meal. The restaurant told him there was no sharing, and charged him for two $7 buffets.
Lipscomb protested, saying there were no signs posted prohibiting sharing. When he refused to pay, the restaurant manager called the police.
Lipscomb was arrested, charged with theft of services. He spend 2 days in the Fulton County jail and ended up pleading guilty to a charge of disorderly conduct.

Although I feel that "tasting" a few bites of my husbands buffet foods is fine, we don't purchase one buffet to feed the both of us. He (or I) have the buffet, while the other purchases off the menu.
    That being said...

IF YOU, and/or your LOVED one was very, VERY hungry, and you had only enough money to pay for ONE meal(buffet, which is ALWAYS less expensive than a menu meal)...

Would you order that ONE buffet, and sneak "bites" of food????

    I KNOW I WOULD.

And, for heavens' sake, what is 7$ to PETRO???!!!!!??????
