Gate Gourmet
We are now hiring for Drivers to work in our flight kitchen located at the Seattle-Tacoma International airport. This position is represented by a labor Union and is covered by one or more collective bargaining agreement.
A Driver is responsible for loading galley equipment onto a truck, driving the truck to various types of aircraft and loading the equipment. All activities must be accomplished according to customer guidelines and while adhering to safety regulations. The Driver interacts with the airline representatives at the aircraft, therefore must be customer service oriented.Rocknroller4 and Dave_in_AZ Thank this. -
@Dave_in_AZ - I was going to give him the info about Gate Gourmet by private message, but he has it blocked.

That's not hot.
Get into the Death Valley region sometime.
Now Phoenix does have a restriction on the CRJ Bombardier Class of Airliner, the rated temperature maximum is 118 for that particular plane. At that temp or above there is not enough wing nor engine to get that plane to where conditions are sufficient to lift that wing off a 3 mile runway. Since Sky Harbor does not have a 3 mile runway, you don't get to fly for a while. You do have the option to rebook onto a larger plane like a 747 or perhaps the new 737-max if they are availible in your area. -

If I remember my FSX Deluxe under a human controller had to horse the heavy off the runway short take off and work around two mountain peaks before we can settle into climb to FL so and so.
A simulator would be much better and for those who do it in lifel thy are the kings. One of these days I hope to luck into a little sim time but think those things are good for learning in. Getting a big truck down cabbage in winter is one thing, Ive always wanted to get a heavy into a field like scranton late at night in a 50 mph mountain storm. I know it can be done, but it's the doing that needs doing.
