The 8 inch rand McNally tablet

I'm having problems with my tablet and am hoping someone has a fix.

I was using it earlier and the gps quit on me. It says "unfortunately truck gps has stopped".

I have restarted the unit several times and even used a paperclip to reset it.

I did update it last month but there was a problem with the update as the unit couldn't find a truck legal route to most of the east coast. I called and I ended up having to factory reset the unit and wipe the update. That was 3 weeks ago and its been working mostly ok since then.

 

Sounds like you still got a bad download on the last time... Factory reset does not clear out the maps and the maps are corrupted since you got the "no legal route" message...

If you are around tonight (Sunday about 5pm est) and have a good Wi-Fi I can assist you. We would have to load Teamviewer on the Tablet so I can remote into it... This will involve downloading the maps again and this is 4gb.... so a strong Wi-Fi signal will be needed or if you are home.

Hi @Mark Kling . I have an TND 80 tablet. I Got a notification to update software tonight and when I updated, I no longer have access to any of the GPS voices. How can I fix this? Thank you in advance.

Ok. Hopefully we can get it fixed then. The Female voice is quite distorted at higher volume
