Although it does not pertain to a truck accident but it pertains to the crooked cops.

I witnessed an accident between a pizza driver and a cop car.

The pizza driver had the right of way as he had the green light then here comes a cop blowes through the red light with no lights or siren on.

The other cops came over and asked me if I seen what happened I said yep your cop buddy ran the red light with no lights or siren on and hit the pizza driver.

I also talked with the pizza driver and gave him my name, number, address incase he needed a witness for the accident.

I found out a few minutes later they wrote the pizza driver a ticket for failure to yeild the right of way to the cop.

I went off after I was told that the pizza driver got the ticket I explained to him to fight it in court and summons me to appear for a witness but I never heard back from him.

So anytime you have an accident with a cop be prepared to be bent over you are never right the cops always stick togather.

Back in the mid '80's, a high school friend of mine was driving at a high rate of speed, on a hilly road, in the outer parts of the city.
He topped one hill, to see a sheriff's department squad car sitting at the bottom of the hill. In the middle of the road, with no emergency lights flashing.
After it was all over, the sheriff's car was short of a trunk.
My friends car had major front end damage.
But, no ticket. They said it wasn't his fault. The deputy failed to activate his emergency lights, while blocking the roadway, while he wrote up a report over a vehicle hitting a cow on the roadway.

And I'm willing to bet the driver that got clipped by cop car got a ticket. Probably for allowing his truck to be too far over or for the tank leaking, or whatever.
