ET - thanks for your response. I came within a whisker of signing on with Crete. I was supposed to be heading to orientation this weekend. Decided to keep dragging that slopping tank around. Keep on truckin!

Has anybody seen any of the new Internationals lately? Not the Prostars, but the other one. I think the I9000? I saw ONE pulling a Crete trailer near Columbus, OH but that was about 6 months ago. Are they ran on dedicated fleets or what? Just curious...
BTW, congrats ET for making the driver of the month.

    evertruckerr Thanks this.

No need to be sorry at all. I find your posts very informative. It gives us local drivers some perspective on life as an OTR driver. I do find in fascinating on how successful you are. You continually do the right thing and are rewarded properly for it. I wish others on here had the same work ethic that you do. Drivers that work where you do included. There are so many on here that struggle.

You keep posting and we will keep reading.

Yes I am a local driver. I don't know what "monkey wrench" you are talking about. Negative behavior? Yes, I'm proud to be a local driver. I am paid well to boot. If you take the time to read what others are saying on here, OTR drivers are not paid what they are worth. That is a real shame. I am just trying to point out that there are better companies and situations out there. Sorry that you don't see it.

Crete might not be one of the best companies judging by others comments. In fact, they are one of the big companies that I think should be avoided. That being said, evertrucker has posted some remarkable pay from that company. It seems as though he is the only one. He is obviously doing something right and should be commended for it by all. I hope others take his advice and follow in his footsteps. There might just be a little less posting on here.

Since you now work for Crete, why don't you post your weekly adventures like evertrucker. I would love to sit down each night and read them.

I couldnt possibly write a weekly adventure guide like ET.... I wish I could, but I dont have the time or patience to even come close to his... He started this last year and has done a tremendous job keeping it going for all of us to read (its his turf), in fact, it was his postings that helped me decide to come over to Crete. I ran my tail off when I was with Knight, but since Ive come over to Crete, I can drive easy and still net 900-1100 weekly. I went from .37 cpm (Knight) to .42 cpm, plus its paid practical miles (not shortest), now you know why I like Crete so much, it was a huge pay increase and I'm not stuck on I-5 anymore. DRIVE SAFE

    P.S. Where is Supersnack ? home ?

    Evertruckerr,

Thanks so much for this thread and all of your tips for operating at a high level of efficiency. I just completed my first week of CDL training at a community college here in Virginia. The tips and experiences that you and the other regulars on this site have conveyed are really helping me understand the "why's, when's and hows" of the HOS regs and their practical application.

In addition, your drive and positive outlook are attributes that I plan on applying to my future (lifestyle) career!

    Best to all,

    K
