$60,00 for insurance!!!??? Jesus that's insane lmao. I was hoping 20k a year for a first timer would be on the high end.
Wow man. It'll be inleast 2-3 years before I get my own authority, I plan on leasing to LS in a year and learning the ins and outs of flat/oversize/gov contracting for a year or two before I run my own numbers.
But good god that's crazy lol

This is Steve Shepard's quarter. He leases on Land Star.....source is rate per mile masters on Facebook
So he had the balls to post this. He said he was unhappy with the quarter. Some things should stick out to you.fbwku Thanks this. -
This is Shane Ferris' post on Rate per Mile Masters. Supply and Demand
bulldawg trucker Thanks this. -
Is that net profit before trailer/tractor payment and taxes?
Also is this van division? I hope so, I'd hate to learn that LS flat are only averaging $1.6 a mile WITH a trailer -
truck and trailer payment should be included in your operating expenses.T-BoneX Thanks this.

Landstar gets 26% off the top. He posted that he netted 89 cents a mile but again....everyone has a different idea of net I'm learning. Bulldawg i would hope you are right.

Quarterly I'm assuming is 3 months or 12.5 weeks
So is it safe to say that after all expenses/Payments/maintance fund
That this guy is frustrated for netting over $1900 a week profit consistently over the course of 3 months after all expenses?
If so then that's exciting and good news -
Now I'm confused, so you're saying that Landstar took 26% of that 24K?
And where are you seeing .89 a mile, I'm seeing over $1.60
Ahhh I see, you mean .89 is after expenses
Which is what his actual income salary would be for himself and family correct? $.89 a mile profit to himself isn't bad by any means, or am I missing something? -
tbone top left is 54960 then it gets to 40871 he said 89 cents is HIS net......Im learning that means something different to each driver lol.
-
I am confused now also. I was assuming his "pay" would have been in expenses. His "profit" would have been the net profit for the business. At least that's how I run my numbers, (well imaginary numbers at this point.)lol
