Hotel is very nice, Instructors will help you as much as possible, tough but fair. They will not baby you, you need to put 100% into learning. Listen to what they tell you, there is a reason for how they tell you things and when they tell you.
Do not listen to the Rhetoric on here, go and stay focused on learning and form your own opinion.

Getting a female Mentor could and very well may cause delays in getting a mentor. You will NOT be paid for waiting on a mentor. If you and your mentor can not get along then call Driver Services and request a new one. Most importantly make sure you get the proper training while with your mentor....many mentors just do it for the money not because they care. No...you can't pick unless you know a mentor, they are assigned to you.

Your weight problems shouldn't be an issue.
Few and far between....that's what lumpers are for. Hubby has helped once but only because he was running out of hours and needed to get parked.
You ain't gonna get rich. You'll do good to bring home $400 a week once you go "solo." Miles depends on a lot of things....just hope you get a good DM.
Try to avoid turning down loads....if you have to make sure you have a legitimate reason. Freight is slowing down and turning down a load may result in you sitting.
Your hometime depends on you...for the first couple of months they will get you home about every 14 days. My hubby has a great DM and basically gets home when he wants to. You will receive a map of Comfort Zones once you get to school. The company will encourage you to go all 48 to start with but you don't have to. You are in AL....that's our comfort zone...there are 2 to choose from.....one will give you a ride up to Maine and over a bit into Texas and the other will stop you around New York and out past Texas....(Im hoping I remember correctly about the Comfort Zones.)
Absolutely.....NOT. Many are doing it for the almighty dollar....you would be surprised at the "perks" they get for being a mentor...lets just say....they also get a "small" pay for every safe mile you drive...keep students and that can get you some big money. DO NOT BE AFRAID TO CALL DRIVER SERVICES IF YOU ARE NOT GETTING PROPER TRAINING OR IF YOU FEEL UNSAFE WITH YOUR MENTOR.
However you want it....we get direct deposit. Many drivers have it come straight to their ComData card.
Fix it or forget about driving. BTW...let this be a lesson learned....
I wish you students the best of luck! Be safe, listen carefully, watch everything that your trainer shows you and NEVER ever think you know everything.....if it ever comes to that then it is time to get out of that truck. By the way......know your 7 step airbrakes backwards and forwards along with your inspections. It actually wouldn't be a bad idea to get a CDL booklet from your local DMV and study up....all you will be getting is a crash course on everything. I thought this post was a joke, and I am still not sure that it is not. Not trying to be offensive but I have never met anyone that talks like that, let alone writes like that. Also, these questions should have been asked before even planning on going to work for a company. Well, then again, it is Swift.

It is better to get rejected while you are still at home than to travel all the way there & get sent home. All of your history is in a computer somewhere & systems interlink very efficiently. Blame it on 911

If so, I question how long and how many posts you've read here, or at any other truckin' related websites?
I read and reread all the posts contained within this thread, and I found nothing unusual about any of them. Actually they're pretty normal.Very true.
But I've read hundreds of such questions posed by many others that seem to be asked after the fact.
There seems to be no end to those who would sign the dotted line BEFORE knowing ANYthing about the company they've just agreed to go to work for.
Obviously that's a backwards approach, but not unusual, judging by the number of folks who are doing that.
I fail to understand the correlation of that comment to the questions asked. What does a certain truckin' company have to do with those who apply for jobs with them?
I've read basically the same type questions asked by many others who have applied with many truckin' companies other than Swift. Considering that fact, why do you single out Swift as a determining factor? I doubt Swift has much, if any, control on who applies with them, and/or the manner in which they do so, and/or whether they've done their homework and/or research thoroughly.
I'm not trying to be offensive either, but I hope you'll explain your reasoning.

You mentioned your pay check deposited on your fuel card. Does that mean you pay for your own fuel if you are a company driver?
