u kinda right, i was at a core mark yard in ma. i saw this guy diesel tank had a huge dent on it, wires tied across to hold certain parts of his truck together. the stand to climb to get in the truck looked like it survived a shotgun blast. tht is not the only piece of crap equipment ive seen but its one of the worst

 

If it's a 1099 job don't waste your time with any of them no matter who they are or where their from...There's never any benefits with those jobs no holiday pay and you can forget ever getting a vacation or vacation pay. It's wasted time and a waste of your life........ They could literally care less about you----'Everything and anything is all about them.

thx for the heads up, i figure thts how they are. i go on craiglist from time to time lookin for a small company tht has fast truck and i normally see those guys sayin they want drivers tht run on paper logs and go by 1099 rather than the w2 which is a big red flag

 

Come December the herd of some of these less than reputable outfits are going to be thinned out when the ELD mandate goes into full effect.

 

Same here. I know the price of older trucks (2000 model year or older)is guaranteed to go up just so some drivers will still run paper logs.
