I had an audit where my violations were not having a proper drug and alcohol testing program along with not having actual copies of MVR's on file, a letter of explanation for past drivers for two drivers who took pre-employment drug screenings but it was after they had already started driving. I don't have any out of service i have had 4 level 1 inspections which all were passed. Some say stick with it and wait which i have already submitted my corrective action plan to dot to upgrade my rating and some say start over with new owner and new numbers. I haven't had any claims and don't really feel like starting over but just confused on if it really will be difficult to hold it out or just start over. I understand you get a lot of ppl who just like to run there mouth on this forum so please can i get ppl who have had experience or is knowledgeable on the subject input.
Thanks in advance,

Why would you start over? Just fix it, don't repeat the mistakes, and keep moving forward.
bigguns, brian991219, ladr and 2 others Thank this. -
I agree with @sawmill, do better on your paperwork. Not anyone's fault but yours
Unless you have a safety person and they weren't doing their job, if that's the case have a long serious talk about their lack of job preformencebigguns, whoopNride, sawmill and 1 other person Thank this. -
Conditional isn't a death sentence. What it is is a warning to do better. Starting over is not a good idea, they frown on that more so than the conditional rating. Not following tbe drug and alcohol testing is a big no-no. I would submit my corrective action plan follow it and before you know it you will be upgraded back to satisfactory

I have already submitted everything back and done all the corrective actions. It just they told me they deal with unsatisfactory ratings before conditional and it could take 30-90 days. Just wanted other opinions I didn't want to start over just getting info.

From my understanding yes I still got freight just landstart is my only issue I hauled a lot of freight for them.

Some people were just making it seem like it was the end of the world and no broker would touch you . I just figure I get insight from different ppl then to listen to someone who doesn't really know what they talking about or doesn't even have there own authority

Starting over will raise more flags then what it's worth. 30-90 days is a drop in the bucket when looking at years for service. Only start over when there is no other option. So many new companies and o/o have popped up in the last five yrs. you don't wanna get lumped in with them.
bigguns Thanks this. -
You'll be fine.
Interesting that I just got home this afternoon to find a letter from the FMCSA stating that I have been moved from a new entrant designation, to a permanent registration. I hurdled the 18 mos probation period evidently
bigguns, whoopNride, wore out and 1 other person Thank this.
