If you get your Class A suspended, will your drivers liscence revert back to a Class C?

I'm also thinking that once you get a CDL, it is nation wide.
I don't know anything about suspended license's other than that means you can't drive legally.
The amount of time might have changed. I moved back to Texas in 08 and from knowledge prior to that.... I made sure I got my license changed the first day I got back here, and made sure I updated my insurance also....

 

NOPE. You lose it ALL in my state.

As in ALL.

First offense is about 90 days, second is revocation and if they aint arrested you already... would be almost a year before you get to trial.

 

I would wager a week's pay if your license (ANY license, doesn't matter what class ) got suspended for lack of payment on a speeding ticket, you have NO license. They don't just suspend your cdl, but allow you to keep a lesser license if you didn't pay up.
Just IMHO.

 

I have had a License in your state. And that was the hardest License I ever had to get just because of ALL the paperwork they required. Being a female who was married and divorced. lol I now have ALL the paperwork needed to prove last name changes.

 

I hear you. I have to submit utility bills, BC and a number of other papers this year to gain the 2020 enhanced licensing by then. I also have additional hours of active shooter training at the end of this year with the state police to gain a enhanced carry to be allowed into the state capitol etc while armed. More paperwork.

And a couple of other things. A long time ago I showed up in Arkansas with a Maryland Class A CDL and 10 minutes later after a skills test, vision etc I had the Arkansas CDL, then it got grandfathered under tier two and then.. and then.. and then. It never ends.

I don't mind it too much here, but it's gotten a bit much just in the last 18 months as the state moves towards completing the real ID requirements for enhanced licensses across the board. Without them you cannot board a domestic flight nor enter a military base or Federal buildings.

To cap it off, many patients are thinking of using Medical Pot which just became lawful here. Unfortunately because Uncle Sam under Federal Drug Schedules he says Pot is a Schedule one drug which is automatic BAN for those who have CDL. They cannot drive period while having that in their systems. Also our state will be stripping gun licenses from those who decide to get a pot card after they get cross checked for CDL and CHL licenses. They will have to give up the weapons at home in order to use Medical pot.

I would not try it... lay low... have some one else drive for you... find a cabbie that you can depend on and ask for a flat rate. Don't forget to tip your cabbie especially if they get to you on time. Call one about 1 hour before you need them with a pick up time of 15 minutes before you really need to leave. If you live a long way from your job, learn the bus route or find a co-worker who might pick you up.

It is BEAUTIFUL there!! Love the scenery, the curvy roads (LIL car) and what I call mountains, but I think I will stay in Texas. Lol
