I see there's a guy there right at the beginning who should stick to channel 6 or 28... too much echo, roger beep, "bye bye bye" "just got down" etc.wolverine11, Ougigoug and lilillill Thank this.

There is way too much of those stations, to me it sound like they don't even care if they speak with someone they just want to be heard no matter what....

Exactly, 27.385 LSB is a call channel you spin our your number get a contact and move along..
you then move to another frequency if you wish to carry on a conversation with people..Ougigoug Thanks this. -
I know that Dave but when 111 down in the bayou keep coming back for mins you can't hardly get in touch with someone and move on to different frequencies.

Yes there are days I get contacts all day Long on the Lincoln ll which is low power then days the kenwood at100 is not enough other days you can talk from Pennsylvania to Florida like a local in 20. Conditions are fun.

The fun is when I turn over to the dipole on 11 meters and get a contact in the distance with it being between the 6 houses in the alley behind the house. That was the only place I had room for it.

Anyone in or around the Great Lakes? Im in Texas( 287 north of Ft Worth) and Michigan is booming on 38lsb,just wondering.

Made one contact I guess this little Bearcat 980 isnt doing too bad, the receiving station was a AT-6666 in Michigan, radio sounded pretty darn good.
