No it isn't the same thing . The boy was unjustly punished . It isn't a criminal matter though . It's a civil case and that is the procedure that must be taken to resolve the issue and prevent further violations of rights .

I understand, and somewhat agree that there should be some sort of justice served on this issue. I'm bettin' it can't be resolved justly though.

BTW, I just realized we're practically neighbors. I live in...well, my mail goes to...Mt. Vernon, IN.

I think there could be a just resolution if the ACLJ pressured school officials to publicly admit they were wrong .

Isn't the GE plastics plant in Mount Vernon ? I used to supervise vaccuum and water blast crews cleaning tanks and drains there .

I like the ACLJ. I've supported their cause in the past.

Yeah, that's down there. Except GE doesn't own it anymore. They sold it to an Arab company called Sabic over a year ago.

Paul on two separate occasions invoked his rights under Roman law as a Roman citizen when unjustly accused for the sake of the gospel. Just because we are Christians doesn't mean we have to become wimps. However, we are told not to sue another Christian in civil court.

Check your history. Halloween is a religious holiday, just not a Christian holiday. The sources I've seen mostly trace it back to the Celtic faith of the Druids.

Your post would fit right in with the thread "Should Christians Celebrate Halloween?" We have been debating this very issue and also where do you draw the line? For instance most of Christmas is also pagan including the date of December 25. The Christmas tree is a pagan symbol for life, December 25 was the birthday of the Roman Sun God. There is a lot more to it as well. Actually it is most likely that Jesus was born in the spring, not the winter. Also the church steeple is a pagan symbol. If you can find a copy of the book "Two Babylons" by Hyslop you will be amazed at how many pagan influences are in our churches and society. Why not join us and put your two cents in as well.
