Will be running OTR National. Live in Delaware. The breakdown letter I got from the Company states ALL trucks now have Inverters, refridgerators, and APU's, but I read on one of the entries on here, that they don't have any of those items. Which is right?

My opinion: Hummer is one of the best trucking companies out there. Truth be told, if I was not such a procrastinator, I would have been over there already myself! Lol

In good time though. Still at the top of my list. Just a bit concerned still about hometime being out of SE MA and all. Otherwise, looks promising.

I don't think they would have any trouble getting you home we run a lot of office furniture in that area and Hormel foods to the grocery warehouses. Also I think there is a Pella window place or two up that way. As long as your wouldn't be trying to get home every Friday like the Hobbie truckers do lol

Just tell your driver manager to get you by your house to load up your stuff.

Get your butt to hummer. Those living in NE make the breast money since you get the done bonus running out there all the time.

Thanks to all who have responded and those who will. Please keep the info coming. You can never get too much information or education. Any day you aren't learning or think you you know it all...you dying or are setting yourself for failure.
When I see people like Old School .. Brett .. or the long term drivers reiterating this, I know I'll never know half of what I need to know. Let alone what I think I may know.carramrod32 Thanks this. -
Well, an update on Hummer. After messaging them on Facebook to see if I could join them as a newbie graduate and also to inquire about how exactly the training would be done with me being out of SE MA, I was told "...we do not have training opportunities in that area. Our training opportunities are isolated to areas closer to the midwest. After your training is completed and you have some experience, we would love to revisit at that time! Best to you in your search!". So, that's that I guess *sigh*

Sorry to hear that, I guess my replacement wasn't so Interested in expanding the training program.
-
Your replacement? You were in charge of the training program over at Hummer before? While I am disappointed, I still think highly of Don Hummer. I will get that experience in another Company to be determined yet and then apply later on. Thanks to you and @ sb1 for the advice and information on Don Hummer trucking
