Slac, they bust you for FIVE cents a mile now when you run the western fleet? That's quite a hunk.
Who is the manager at the SLC terminal these days? It was a lady named Janice when I worked there.
When I hired on with CCC, I got a rental car to take from SLC all the way to Lincoln. And I was ALONE, both in the car and in the hotel room. I had to drop the car off at the airport, and I met my trainer at the KC terminal after orientation. I think orientation lasted 4 1/2 days.

When I ran the western fleet, I did a LOT of runs from SLC to El Paso. The cool thing was it was all drop and hook. Also, my pay cut was only 3 cents per mile, but I started at 32. -

I will be moving to Colorado next year, do you think this is the best company on the West coat or Mid-West coast? Who are some other company's to run for when I move to Denver?
Thanks! -
CCC can run you pretty much anywhere you want to run. Some drivers who live in the corners may have trouble getting home regularly, but people who live in places like Washington State, Maine, and Florida probably don't get hired often anyway.
-
I live in Ohio right now; but, I intend on moving out to Denver as soon as I get my CDL & Job.
I read you were telling people about Crete, how it was a good place to check out. Is this the best one to check out after I move to Colorado?
Thanks! -
I would say CCC is one of the best out Denver way, sure. I bet there are other little companies in the Denver area that would be worth working for. When you get to Denver, get a copy of the Denver Post for a week or two and see who's advertising in it daily. Those are the outfits you don't wanna work for. After you get this info, move to the phone book and start calling companies that don't advertise. Visit those who are willing to hire you and see what their lots look like. Also, ask a bunch of their drivers what those companies are like. Choose the one that looks and sounds best.
Good luck. -
