Social Services - DIRECT Care (usually relegated to the realm of autism / autism-spectrum disorders).
You're paid to sleep, a reduced rate than normal unless its an 'awake' house with known behavioral problems. That said: you'd best be ready to hustle in a minute. No telling when an alarm would sound (elopement), a behavioral event would occur or, God be merciless - you'd get attacked.
Did that for 9 years.
Small wonder I like to work alone and away from people.
Anyone out there get paid for time in the sleeperberth?

Let me know so I can connect a Qualcomm to my memory foam at home and start logging some hours. Shoot, I may just quit driving for a living and stay in bed everyday

I work at performance food service in new Windsor, Md and I have been getting sleep berth pay for 5 years now. I get paid $150 sleep berth each night I go out. It adds up to $600 a week. Do the math. E also get paid based on performance such as stops, cases, miles, back haul, delay etc. I run teams and the only thing we split is miles.
Since I run teams the truck is never really stopped or delayed no lay over.
This is true sleep berth pay. I'm paid that one $150 just because I am on sleep berth..Last edited: Jul 16, 2017

On blade projects detention runs $700 to $1000 per day depending on customer and contract. I can sleep the whole day away so... yeah. I kinda get paid to sleep.

Oil field work. Sometimes they will pay you to be on call. Your $63 per day per diem tax write off sort of counts if you want to look at it that way.
Basically put in five years then become an oo you will know how to make more money then. -

LOL.... you described how me and my codriver figures our pay. We leave home every week @ 7am back home by 19:00 f ri. (99 percent of the time) . We figured we are making $13.00/hour every hour we are gone. Sleeping, showering, whatever, till we hit the front door of the castle. -
That is in danger of stopping . California took them to court over it , it was not min wage. Well it is not required to be paid. So pay California , or pay more to the drivers , or just stop paying sleeper pay?ExOTR Thanks this.
