I wonder how many people in these forums remember the signs and pavement markings tests? Almost all ramps and roads have white lines painted along the sides. How many in here know it is illegal to cross a solid white line? Parking on ramps and highway edges is illegal in all states, the only exception is emergency usage. Taking a nap or your 10 does not an emergency make. Just because law enforcement ignores it don't make it legal! Some states do provide places to park. Rest area's and I noticed Mississippi has some on I 20. Outside of these places you park you are subject to getting a rude wake up.

I have done it but honestly I hate sleeping at a angle

Blizzards, ice storms, flash flooding, although I have never once had to use that, and if you have company review, they will probably discourage that. Dont feed the bears. Nice reply.
