I had a trooper in TX stop me once and he told me the mailbox numbers were what caught his eye. That was enough to convince me to get it done in vinyl.

I just got lettering from a local business to put on my truck instead of the ones LS sent me. It only cost $71 to have them made up, and it looks a lot better than using the provided ones would have. Well worth the money to me.

Anyone on here know of a driver looking to drive for a Landstar small fleet?
-
you should probably post that in the job subforum

I have but figured I would give it shot here as well.

Can anyone give me an idea of how long it takes to get a trailer after orientation? I have been waiting since last Tues. and haven't been assigned one yet. If you go home for over a week and they want you to drop off the trailer you have, do you expect it to take a week to get one again? If trailers are this tight, I don't think I'll be taking any loads that are a "drop loaded". I'd be afraid I'd be days waiting to find another empty if the customer didn't have any at the time I deliver.

From what I hear as I've never pulled van, you have to keep bugging them. Also, search the board under agent code SOS. That's the emergency repower code. Look for Power only loads as well on the specialized drop down trailer menu. Join the Facebook landstar groups as well as you can sometimes score something from there. Unless you find you do a tremendous amount of profitable drop and hook, I'd buy a trailer ASAP.oicu812 Thanks this.
