2 truckers die in head-on crash near Mineral Wells

MINERAL WELLS, Texas Both truckers died in a head-on crash between two tractor-trailer rigs on U.S. 281 about 10 miles south of Mineral Wells.
Palo Pinto County Justice of the Peace Bobby Hart said both drivers were dead at the scene Monday morning.
Department of Public Safety Sgt. Jason Dudley says the midmorning accident closed, for six hours, a section of U.S. 281. Dudley says the cause of the accident is sought.
Dudley identified the victims as 25-year-old Werner "Vern" Henry Vanzuydam of Stafford, Kan., and 43-year-old Douglas Joseph Voss of Mesquite.
The driver of a pickup, which was unable to stop and hit part of one of the wrecked trailers, was not hurt.
Mineral Wells is 50 miles west of Fort Worth.
