Heard someone mention the MyFitnessPal app. I use it and If your into any type of body building, trying to lose weight, gain muscle etc. it makes things SO much easier, because regardless of the types of foods you eat, if you eat to many calories your gonna get fat so it pretty much counts your calories and macros for you. you need to have a good balance of macronutrients which are carbs, protein, and fat.
Good protein sources are tuna, canned chicken beef jerky, protein bars ( I buy the special K protein meal bars ) peanut butter, eggs, protein drinks, Greek yogurt.
Some good snacks are pop cycles, halo top ice cream is a very healthy ice cream alternative and I can't tell a difference in taste honestly. Snack packs sugar free jello is also a great snack because it only has like 5 calories par snack so you could eat like 10 of them and not gain any weight.
They also have little protein pack snacks at Walmart that comes with turkey, chocolate almonds, crackers, and cheese, those are really good as well. Rice cakes are also good because they are somewhat filling and low in calories. Add a little peanut butter to them and they are pretty tasty. The little pretzel sticks in a bag are also good because they are low on fat and carbs which is much better than potato chips which have a lot of fat and carbs in. Comparison. Last thing which has already been mentioned, cut out the sodas and drinks with a bunch of calories in them. Just drink water or flavored water instead.
