Hey everyone i want to know what steps you can take when a shipper does not pay you out on the agreed payment terms. So I have a shipper who has a 30 day term and has not payed out yet, so i wanted to know what i can do to get compensated? Do i go to my bond and get the money or how does that work?

Yeah... welcome to the world of B2B collections. How is their credit and what are they telling you?

The last I knew, if you was an OOIDA member, they will be your collection agent and whatever they recover, you keep 100% of. That may have changed, but I know when I had a problem with a broker on a load, OOIDA stepped in, no charge, and made things right. I know OOIDA is not everyone's favorite organization, but they have always done right by me. And for a tax deductible $30-50 per year membership fee, I figure why not.

Or hire your own collection agent for a fee.
