Anybody have any background on them? They called me for a phone interview. They did tell me training is $15/hr. They haul fuel locally in Memphis. 12 hours days off Tues/Weds or Weds/Thurs.
To haul fuel, 15/hr for any #### training is ########. IMO

That pat is low. I started at a local Building supply company delivering to newly constructed neighborhoods and started at $18 an here. I'm not pulling ticking time bombs.

Pay. An hr.
-
Yea they pitched that to me. The hiring manager is supposed to call me. Until then, I don't have much info.
-
Then why did you apply for the job?
-
None of this was known to me ahead of time. I'm just asking to see who knows something.

12 hour days is 180 a day. if that fuel truck is going station to station dragging hose, don't sound too good to me. Hopefully while in training that means you have a vet showing you the ropes and then once signed off on jumps up at least 7 bucks more.

That's what I'm assuming. She said I'll be with someone to show me what to do. When I'm on my own, pay goes up, but didn't mention to what. She said the hiring manager will talk with me concerning that.

Fifteen an hour for a tanker driver isn't much. But you're being paid to learn and that's a good thing. Some outfits won't hire at all withour experience.
Put in some time, get some experience, keep your record clean and then, if they don't come up with reasonable bucks, start looking for something else. -
Hopefully they'll call me soon so we can discuss more.
