Does anyone have a how-to guide or video on how to change a air compressor on a D12? Is it a matter of just unbolting the old one and bolting in the new one? Or is there anything special in the process I should know about?
How do you replace an air compressor on a D12?

I don't have any information on a D12 but can say it looks easier then the D13. I jumped right in on my D13.
1st drain most if not all the coolant
Then remove the 2 coolant hoses.
2nd remove oil feed line.
3rd disconect discharge line. 34mm I believe. Then the blue 1/4 line that goes to the governor.
4th the mount bolts and should come out.Jazz1 Thanks this. -
when you have compressor out the bolts for it are 17 mil by the way, when you have compressor out need to remove gear with a puller new compressor doesn't come with gear it's a 1 1/16 socket remove nut put 3 leg puller and tight down it will jump up and sound like something broke when it comes out just be ready cuz it will scare the crap out of you. when you put the compressor in make sure you do not bring it in with the bolts put it in by hand all the way and they put the bolts in for the last 1/16 of an inch or so. Very simple to do shouldn't take you more than a couple of hours i've got it down to about 35 min after doin my fair share.

Awesome thanks guys I was gonna have the shop do it but I got the confidence to do it myself. I'm a new owner operator gotta learn to get my hands on and dirty
nax, stayinback, OLDSKOOLERnWV and 1 other person Thank this. -
Its just nuts and bolts and that's $400 you don't have to hand over to shop

OLDSKOOLERnWV and Death Hauler Thank this. -
Hey guys, I just wanted to close out this thread. You guys were right, it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. Honestly the thing that I had the hardest time was loosening the huge discharge line connection, otherwise it was a straight foreword remove and replace deal. Thanks for the help guys!
