Just the standard quick blow off? every ten, twenty or forty minutes: normal.
Happening every minute? Leaky sense line to the governor or unloader.
Oh wait a sec. you mean it's coming out of the air filter housing? -
The engine has a hard time running if the intake airflow is interrupted to force outward.
-
Sure its not just the waste gate dumping to prevent overboost?
-
Where is it coming out? The air dryer will discharge a little bit of air when the governor kicks in and shuts off the compressor, this is how it blows out the water.
-
Well,I haven't seen it myself,he says every few hundred miles or so the canister blows dust OUT,as if its cleaning itself-it doesn't affect the engine any when it happens. We haul rock out of quarries,so it's pretty dusty conditions
-
He said air CLEANER. Not dryer.
-
Sounds likes a isx with a actuator issue AKA turbo fart as guys call it
-
Could you elaborate a little, magoo? would that cause a back surge out of the air cleaner?
