Do Security Guards look down on Truck drivers?

The only time that a security guard looks down on me is when his Booth is higher than the cab of my truck.

 

well security guards are usually at or slightly above minimum wage. so if they look down at us, it don't bother me, i make more than them, i get better benefits than them, i get to work regular hours when they have to pull double shifts, cuz another lowly paid guard calls out sick, so be it, i'm better than them anyday of the week......

Should have taken that ticket to the manager of the truckstop and called the cops.

 

The ticket was a zerox form hand written with the supposed arrival date. I was so tired when I pulled in I didn't bother to notice it was dated two days earlier. Since there was no gate arm I just booked. From now on I'll look at the thing when it's handed to me.

 

Let me get this straight.. You are mad at the guard there when leaving because he was doing his job? I mean you did, in fact, accept a receipt with the wrong date on it, knowing they charge by the day. Next time pay attention if get annoyed at the guard who gave you the wrong date receipt, and only then if he don't fix it when pointed out.

 

I've got a better idea. Why don't you apply for guard license for Georgia and go take a job at the petro so you can show everyone how it's done.

He was not doing his job. He was belligerent and disrespectful right from the jump. Growling at me like I had just robbed the c store. He was actually reaching for his holstered sidearm when I put my truck in gear and started to roll out.
