what can u tell me about Quality Carriers

Quality has around 100 terminals . Every one is run differently . You need to talk to O/O's out of the terminal you'd sign on with . Many terminals are owned by affiliates and you'd be working for that affiliate owner not Q.C. .

 

I've never heard of any . Most of the work is regional with terminals serving shippers in the area . Many of the trailers are dedicated so the rate is round-trip with no deadhead . A couple of times a year I have been dispatched to go to a tankwash then grab a hot load . The majority of the trips out of our terminal are out one day and back the next . There are some 1 day trips . I have a regular 2 1/2 day run to Canada .
Are you pulling tanker now ? If not you will have to have a 3" pump and auxiliary air compressor installed . Their use depends on the type loads the terminal has . Most of my loads the customer uses their hoses and pumps . There are a few air unload and I hook up the hoses . I very rarely use the pump on my truck .

 

Do you know anything about the Fairfield,Oh term

 

I don't . I deliver in Ohio pretty often though -Lima , Wooster , Alliance .

I went to Joliet . The school is good for the time allowed but you can't learn enough in a week . They'll put you with a trainer or an unspecified time just to be sure you'll be o.k. . I'll be glad to answer any questions you have . You have better weather than I had . We had to stand around in chemical suits in August during the loading/unloading training .
