warning ticket

    ok heres my q came threw indy today on i 70 west just past the airport driving behind a pretty slow car so i got into the center lane to pass him only had to get up to 60 to pass as soon as i got back into slow lane got pulled over luckily only receiverd a warning for going 60 in a 55 now do i need to tell my safety dept so they can fill out the form the officer gave me or can i just sign it and mail it back thanks

    I would think if it stated sign and return that is what I would do. But if I read it right he gave you a form for your company to fill out. So if that is the case, give it to the safety dept. and take your lumps.

    That's how I read it. Not a big deal and if it needs to go to your safety dept. you shouldn't get more than a lump or two...

    What is the requirement of your Safety Department?

    From the federal perspective the answer is no. You are only required to report convictions. A warning is not a conviction.
