Just wanted to give an update... I made it to Prime Inc this week (currently still in orientation). Yes, I took the Greyhound. Wasn't that bad either. Wasn't great, but wasn't bad. I'm blessed that everything is going smoothly for me because their were 2 handfuls of people that went home already (day 1). It was stressed too me to have everything together and all my documents before I came here, but a lot of people must've ignored that memo (and of course the not taking drugs memo). Because of the holiday, our class has a short week (we lose a day). First day was paperwork, interviews, physical/medical stuff, computer stuff (finished all day 1), simulators intro and most importantly, FOOD (just okay by the way). Today was permit test day. I PASSED and got my permit, so that's a load off the ol' brain for a few hours. My experience hasn't been as hard (or hectic) as so many have said it would be (been very easy), BUT I do see A LOT of my classmates struggling (we all learn different). I would advise people (like others have in here repeatedly) to study a month or two, max, before coming here AND have all your documentation. That's all for today. Well, off to sleep I go.

New update: I got my badge! Orientation week is ALL finished. Now just waiting for a trainer, so I moved to a priority student. Not sure how long it will take because I don't smoke. I was even wondering if they would make me an overnight student, but not sure if they do that anymore, so who knows. But in the mean time, I'm making the best of it. I've learned most of the Pre-trip. So far, the experience has been what I was told and what the information is online. I really appreciative you guys and girls that reached out and helped.

Thanks @PChase. I come with good news. I've been put in the overnight class this morning and may have a TNT trainer lined up too. Thank GOD! Lol. I went straight to sleep after they told me. Now off to night class. Yes. All in the same day. Until next time.

NEW update... I just finished the accelerated program Thursday and got scheduled to test today. I couldn't sleep and only slept 2.5 hrs to get up by 5a. I didn't test for a 3-4 later. Drum roll... ... ... I passed; Trifecta too! I was nervous, but once I knocked out the Pre-Trip, I was on autopilot through everything else. No points on anything, except driving. Again, thank everyone for their help. Now the new challenge is TNT. Pray for me. Lol.

Now to pick between Tanker or Reefer. I keep hearing that it's not enough freight in Tanker. I'm supposed to head out tomorrow. I have to different trainer offers; one (unofficially) is a reefer and the other (officially) is a Tanker driver. Decisions, decisions. Too bad you can never find much info on the tanker division online. Will keep you all posted.
