The terminals inside the connector bodies do spread on their own after time and cause intermittent problems. Hopefully reseating them has fixed the problem! Knock on wood!

Ok update I have a 2009 international prostar. I checked the wiring harnesses that connect to the throttle body controller. The throttle body controller which is located behind the plastic cover to the left of the clutch pedal. If you look on the throttle body controller you will see a location codes for each wiring harness that connects to the throttle body controller. The harness in the very middle marked J2-10 on the throttle body controller is the one that controls the head lights. I pulled it out and there were 2 locations that were burned slightly causing a poor connection. I put 2 small pieces of aluminum foil into the locations that had a slight burn and plugged harness back in and wallah the lights worked this was just to check to see if it would fix the problem and it did as a quick fix. I would highly recommend ordering a new harness and you can either install it yourself or have a shop do it. I hope this helps.

All those terminals are replaceable inside those connectors. Even the connector bodies are replaceable. A whole harness would be a few thousand dollars. Just replace what is damaged and run new wires if you need to for a fraction of the cost.

Ok, it just called a body controller. Throttle body is something different.

J2 is also called the 1604 connector. Should be tan in colour with 2 rows of 5. The actual connector body part number is 3598707C1 & 3598710C1. This is only for an empty connector body.

The terminals inside is 3544877C1 for 12 and 14 gauge size wires.
3544876C1 for 16 and 18 gauge size wires.

You need a special crimper to crimp the terminals on.
