Seems that the most of the loads you're taking are not produce. Do they give you a temperature recorder for each one of them? If not, how do you cover yourself in case they will say the product is too warm? Can you download the temperature log?

Very little produce. I think I've had 3 loads so far that had a temp recorder. If there were to be a claim regarding temperature you'd have to go to a dealer to get a download. It's a lot of time and money. I spent the money upfront to have an ORBCOMM unit installed on my trailer. It has GPS and temperature data tracking in it. I can log into my account and download a temperature record and email it in a few minutes from my phone. I have their app on my phone as well. In one of my earlier posts I mentioned I spent the money to be fully FSMA compliant and that was part of it. I can even get text notifications regarding alarms on the reefer. I haven't had to use temperature profiles yet, but if something were to come up, I have it.

Carrier uses ORBCOMM on their products and ThermoKing has their own TracKing telematics. They are both the same thing. The ORBCOMM unit was 500.00 and I pay 19.00 a month for the service. On a Carrier it has to have DataTrak installed or it won't work. This one had DataTrak in it when I bought it. My trailer used to have a door sensor and still has a fuel sensor. The ORBCOMM unit can interface with all that.

Well, the cheese didn't work out. Instead, I'll be hustling down to TX for Sunday to finish this month and be working into Arkansas after that. Month will end well with 10313 total miles and 21,433 in revenue. Average length of haul is 644 miles. Average deadhead is 11.3%

Spent my morning having Zero luck finding a good load out of Texas but ended up finding one 30 seconds old going to Tulsa. I'm trying to get to Arkansas and was planning on deadheading in after that but my go to guy called me up and asked if I was in town yet and I told him I'd be in Tulsa. He said perfect, I can get you a Ponca City to Russellville for good money. I'd love to just get in town but I can't turn down 900 bucks so I'll be grabbing that after I drop off school supplies in Tulsa.
CH Robinson tried to stick it to me for 450.00 on this thing but I was able to get it up to 650. That plus the Ponca city will get me a nice start to August.
I hate going to Texas. If you hit Dallas or Fort Worth, You're fine but if you go to Temple, Waco, Austin, SAN Antonio, good luck. Houston is alright and Laredo has its days too but if I hit Texas I try and stick to Dallas Fort Worth for the reliability.

West Texas and south Texas isn't bad. You just gotta make sure you get enough going in that you can bounce back to dallas.

Walking the dog today at the truck stop and caught an RV dumping raw waste into the parking lot. They saw me and wrapped it up and off they went. I got their plate number and told the manager about it. They're calling the State Trooper out. Manager was pretty mad about it. He said in situations like that with raw waste they can't just pressure wash it away but have to call in a sanitizing crew. You can smell it from any point on the property at this point. It's not a big truck stop.

The fact he took off like that practically guaranteed it was toilet water, usually referred to as black water. But if you ever see this again, before you jump the gun make sure it isn't grey water. Grey water is from the shower and sink drain and perfectly legal to dump on the ground.

No mistaking this. Smelled horrible and yellow and brown coming out of a hose. Couple younger guys. They have some event going on nearby the manager was telling me about. Lots of RVs and campers in the area.
