I suspect the feds served a warrant on Pyle's place of business and took control within 5 minutes after the police were dispatched to the scene.
If he's not complicit in the crime itself, I suspect he still will not survive the scrutiny.

I copied a news link and posted in the other thread going about this situation. Driver didn't have a current medical card and was back to work after having his leg amputated, and had recently just bought the tractor. How did Pyle let him back to work even as an O/O without his card? Unless he was transporting the trailer for someone else. Why would Pyle leave their name on it if they sold it? I know that's a small issue compared to the loss of human life, but man what a mess this is. Sad all the way around.

Saw a Pyle truck and trailer on Carrier Drive in Laredo today. I wonder if they're going back for another load hoping lightening doesn't strike twice. Okay, probably not.

"But behind that image was a cutthroat business that flouted federal laws for years, yet managed to stay afloat despite financial troubles and tangles with prosecutors, regulators and tax collectors, according to public records and interviews with former drivers."
