You will feel like everyone else. You'll be nervous and a little freaked out. But that's nothing compared to how you'll feel when you climb into the seat for the first time in your trainers truck when you join a company. And that's nothing compared to the anxiety you'll feel when they hand you the keys to your own truck and assign you your first load.
Now why am I telling you this? Easy, don't matter if your a slow learner or some kind of genius, the big obstacle is mental. Pulling a load through your first thunderstorm or snowstorm. Getting hit by a 50mph gust of wind for the first time. There's a guy in my company who can barely read or write...hes also the best driver I've personally ever met. The written tests are not that difficult, and there are dozens of practice tests available online to practice on.
And by the way, your daughter and you are both right, if she can give her best effort then you can certainly do the same.
I, and many others here, stand ready to help however we can. Now get out there and do it. You can succeed.
don't think I'm not smart enough to pass the test
