And I will bet he will claim the truck was at fault! Good job this driver had cameras working.

Yup the talents of four wheelers is truly astounding. They couldnt see the great big wheel spinning beside them while trying to change lanes.
-
Have you guys ever watched passing 4-wheelers and looked at the driver? If they aren't looking at their phones, they are always looking straight ahead. Only straight ahead. It's like they get tunnel vision or something. I don't know why cars even come with mirrors anymore, they are never used! Then we get incidents like this...
I'll bet that idiot in the vid had his/her stereo cranked way up too, so they couldn't hear anything going on outside their little caccoon. That's another thing that really irks me. -
Youre so right Kyle G.
Those folks are in their own little bubble.God forbid you interfere with Their Space.Kyle G. Thanks this. -
I call them mice. They only look at what's within 5 or so feet in front of them.
Kyle G. Thanks this. -
Have to wonder if they 'didn't see' the truck or if it was an attempt to get some insurance money.

Had a lady in maine last yr at might do the same to me..My cascadia doesnt have any extra lights but company trailers have more than enuf..
She had almost 3/4 of a mile of ramp to travel before the highway and she hit my passenger side of tractor..
1st thing she did was blame me for speeding lol.. -
So let's admit the obvious: The car driver was busy being spaced out, so the truck was invisible (along with whatever else that was or wasn't on the road).
I've noticed a very common feature in wreck videos. The guy with the dash cam, while technically innocent, often seems just as oblivious as those who hit him. Problems develop in front or nearby, then one of the problems finds a way to wreck him, and just about everyone sides with the cam owner.
Questions to ponder: If you've got someone cruising along-side your tractor, either keeping pace with you or very slowly creeping by, how vulnerable are you? - Knowing that s
many out there are busy talking to cell-phones, drunk, apathetic, or even attempting insurance fraud, are you going to assume you're visible and trust random drivers to see?
(The car's lane control problem should have easilly tipped the truck driver off, in time to avoid the collision even if he habitually lets other vehicles occupy dangerous positions)Last edited: Aug 9, 2017
