You say so, I've only built about 20 towers in the past 3 years, I know the numbers. Dual r290x cards are not 185 watts running on a tower like mine. On a basic budget build, maybe. But nothing about my tower is budget

So, lets add this up then. That's 570 watts for 2 graphics cards maxed out on synthetic loads, 95 Watts for CPU, but lets do 100 for simplicity. That's 670. Then a water pump, about 20 watts. Up to 690. Are you running 50 HDDs for your raid? Because you're still coming up way short of 1200. Are you running 100 CFM fans and halogen lamp lighting or something?

 

List check my Killahwatt meter showed I was pulling 1195 watts at max draw of 90% on my cards while running 3d mark vantage using quality settings, given that my psu is certified as 90% efficient I estimated that I would need at a minimum 1500watt psu to run everything while building it bad on a website I use to figure up psu usage. I run led lights inside, I stopped using cold cathodes when led was more cozy effective. My cpu was overclocked 13% to 5.2ghz my gpus were at like 15% before it's start getting artifacts. I've passed so many Intel burn tests that I've lost count, prime 95 is my #####.

If you want to call me a liar, do so, don't beat around the bush. Otherwise go get orientated yourself with the enthusiast side of building towers

oh and I was incorrect on my cpu on my tower. My tower runs an i7 4790k

Your assuming I was serious on the 2000 wat psu, that's called sarcasm.

 

Oh and before I forget, my raid I have 2 western digital 3to blacks in raid 0 with 1 Samsung 840evo 1tb ssd for my os and main game catalog. My raid is primarily for movies and storage

Corsair H100i AIO water cooler
Corsair Vengence RAM at 3200mghz
Samsung 850 Evo 1tb SSD
Seagate 8tb NAS drive
Biostar mITX MoBo

All of that crammed into a Corsair 250d mITX case. I draw less than 400 watts at the wall under full load, full load is rendering Blu Ray movies to a smaller format to fit more on that 8tb drive. I dare you to tell me that's not an "enthusiast" system.

I have an XBox with 3 tb no extra cooling needed, hooks straight up to my smart flat screen tv... neeners neeners

anyone that spends $2000 on a gaming tower is just an IDIOT.. Thats a huge waste of money...
