Sorry to be the bearer of more bad news.
And az is already using it to harass drivers though it doesn't go into effect until December.

For the record the SCOTUS has determined that in effect if a vehicle is mobile (has wheels) it is considered exempt from the warrant provisions of the 4th amendment. Police ONLY have to establish probable cause to search ANY vehicle! The courts have addressed this subject in other SCOTUS decisions to more broaden the rulings but I am too tired to research them.

If an az cop tries to search me for supporting documents I'm going to remind him it doesn't go into effect until December 18
    After that, guess I'm screwed

    ####!
Remind me never to go OTR again.... Local just a a whole lot more attractive. I have no supporting docs except a BOL. No fuel receipt, no meals, no lodging, nothing. And we all know BOL times are oh, so accurate..... (I pick up at 10:30, BOL states sometime between 5:00 and 8:00, just whenever the office guy got around to making it.) Not to even mention relay loads, dropped trailers at the yard for a week until deliver time, etc...

Yeah, if dot chooses to use this and enforce it to the T it's gonna be a pain
We'll have to have a bookkeeper instead of a co driver

The largest majority of Trucks out there have EZpass transponders and DO NOT have toll records. They also use fuel cards and never see fuel receipts because they either pay at the pump or only go inside to start the fuel and otherwise avoid the fuel desks. I have not looked at this (Law?) but question this aspect. I suspect if you look deeper these records would be something either the owner/authority holder would be required to provide because the average company driver don't have them, don't get them and to be honest don't care about them.

I agree with what you're saying
My point was that Dot is using it as an excuse to search without probable cause
They are using it as probable cause
    At least in Arizona
