How did you get the dtvnow? And how much.

I got told that wouldn't apply to the mobley. Had to have a full fledged phone account.

Its a $25 credit if you have an unlimited phone plan. I am still on a free month of DTVNow. First bill is Aug 1. I doubt I will get the credit but am happy to have cable channels in the truck. Its a lot cheaper than a satellite set up. Free streaming on the Mobley is enough to keep me with DTVNow. Wife likes it better as well. It has both of the hallmark channels. I have been bouncing around from Sling to PS Vue to DTVNow collecting free streaming devices.

Just got my first directtvnow bill. I have been on a 1 month free trial and set up auto renewal on pay pal. Got charged $12.36 today. I never linked the Mobley and dtvnow accounts in any way other than streaming on Mobley data. Looks like I got the $25 credit. Most of the time those ATT reps are clueless. Mobley is the only account I have with ATT. Phones are on Verizon.

    Update:

I've had the $20 unlimited plan for a couple of months now. I've had 0 issues. Works great and streams like no tomorrow. I have no other accounts with AT&T. If you want internet in the truck it's worth the hassle of getting on this plan.

I'm almost tempted to order another one.

On another note though. I wonder how many numbers would free up if they weren't assigned a phone number. I mean seriously. It can't make phone calls. It only supplies internet.

Dsl requires a phone number. Cable doesn't. hotspots and smart watches do.

How did you signup without the phone number verification?

I don't know how you're going to verify a phone number on a device that isn't a phone.

NM. i did the online customer service chatline. He got me hooked up so we'll give it a whirl. Very patient guy considering he's a cell tech and knew nothing about directv. I also went and added hbo for another $5.

Now we wait and see what the bill says.
