Hello all...I got my Class A last December. I ended up never getting a job driving due to family reasons. My current medical card expires this December and I would like to keep it current. Kicker is I should be using a cpap machine and I am NOT compliant. My question is, how far back does a ME and Employer go back for a report? If I applied for a job today I'm assuming they would want 30 days or is it as much as 90 days or maybe they want the whole year? Thanks for any input....

Most dot physical doctors want 90 days of compliance, however I believe its based upon how many days your CPAP records. I almost got denied my last medical card for not being compliant. He said he'll deny me next time if Im not using it.

Recomended is 75% compliance (4+ hours a night) over 30 days, so 21 days straight.
Should you get a job, you will likely get a 30-90 day card. Get compliant with company policy for the 1 year card.
Apnea is currently not required, so there is even a chance you will go to a dot dr that will not ask.

I think it's 30 days also. It's 30 days usual when you first get a cpap for the first time. It's really up to the doctor mine said I could send him more during the year and have them put in my file. He would like to see more he said.

Yes, 30 days. A note, if you have lost a lot of weight, get retested...you may not need one...

AMEN! I just got a new machine a week ago tomorrow. I've been on them since 2001 or so. Counting the defective one that I got back at the beginning, this is number four. I can't even get a nap without mine.

Hate mine. Had it for over 2 years and sleep worse with than without. Dropped a good bit of weight and probably don't need it anymore, but I have to pay for retest and I'm a cheapskate.

It also doesn't help having kids that think it's funny to fart in the air intake.
