Im very glad to hear this. I spec'd my truck with the 565/2050, 3.58 rears and 11r22.5's which are the same as LP24.5's but will be grossing 100-105.5 out here in the northwest west pulling tankers so it sounds like I should be 5+ with my mpg.

Yes I'm well aware of his videos he has some nice equipment for sure I'm just not crazy about how he specs the rear ratio's but there is no "one size fits all". His specs will work for some but not others. You need to look at your particular operation and make a decision accordingly. Take into consideration the weight you'll be hauling and the routes you'll be running as they may change with time. Spec for versatility because you just never know.Last edited: Aug 7, 2017

Yes sir I'm more than impressed so far. You should have no problem dipping into the 5's. I've had Cummins ISX before but the way the power comes on with the X15 is totally different its a beast of an engine. I'm just hoping Cummins learned from their mistakes and that they've truly solved all the problems that plagued the ISX with all the upgrades to this version.SavageSam and Roberts450 Thank this.

Could you elaborate please, from what I've seen (company trucks) most companies are speccing OTR trucks with higher rearends....wouldn't they go lower, if the emissions problems were related???....I tend to agree with you from a driveability standpoint, as Id rather drive a 3.70 than a fuel miser 2.55 auto....SavageSam Thanks this.

Warranty, Warranty ,Warranty Just so you know Peterbilt interior and exterior warranty expires about 20,000 miles i do believe, at least that's what it was years ago. Engine is also the next thing to consider and I would NOT consider the Paccar engine I would go Cummings. Disc brakes are supposed to be better ,but are expensive and not all places stock what you need I would go with the traditional drum brakes . How about going with a glider kit? New truck pre emission engines and still have the warranty your looking for. Be careful and read the small print .Down Time is still Down Time and the payments still keep coming and they don't care what was wrong with your truck. Start preparing for hotel stays while your unit is in the shop and is being worked on for regent exhaust issues. Hope this helps Don't bet to much on warranty and that's my 2 cents
