Watch out for US Express loads

It is a shame that brokers will do this. Hub Group is about the only one I trust with Amazon loads to shoot straight. Western Express and CHRW give trustworthy amazon info too. I actually did an Amazon load this past Tuesday/Wednesday TN-TX from Transplace so I suppose add them to my mental list of Amazon brokers that tell it as it is.

The broker gave it to me at the agreed rate but when I asked if it was drop/dest he checked and said it was. He apologized and took it back. Then he called back 15 minutes later and said he was mistaken, it was in fact a live unload by scheduled appointment. So I booked it. Of course sometimes they will say anything to cover a load. Amazon loads can be risky. I try to avoid them. I needed a way down to TX and decided to take one though. Thankfully it worked out well

I did a couple loads from vendor to Amazon DC in Mississauga. Both times unloaded the 9 pallets myself because they said they will take forever.

Had another U.S express load going to same destination which was a drop trailer for a day. Did not do that load due to mechanical failure.

 

I found a deal on a tractor down there and ended up bringing it home too.

 

Some Amazon are quick and decent with good workers but then there's Amazon's that takes a long time to load and unload then says u only have 10 minutes after receiving paperwork to exit gate and never gives u the 10 minutes as soon as u get back to your truck there's someone in a orange vest saying we need this dock can u exit gate and do paperwork out there with a cop waiting to give u a no parking ticket
